With the ability to carry serious loads, triple mounts on the forks and three separate bottle cage fixings allow you to carry as much as you need with you.
The Hook EXT C comes complete with a carbon frame and V2 carbon fork with triple cage mounts for speedier off-road raids. Sram provides the bike's 10 – 42T XD cassette for a great range of gears, so you can keep the pace high over whichever surface you decide to tear across. Our friends at Hunt handle the hoops, providing the bike with a tubeless-ready Adventure Sport 27.5" wheelset. Finished with head-turning tan-wall WTB Venture tires, onlookers will have to be quick if they want to catch a glimpse as you fly through the undergrowth. It comes in this year's glossy metallic black colorway, too.

HAUL ASS, NOT CARGO
A new breed of rider is emerging-one who loves the freedom and exploration that gravel culture was founded upon but who has a hunger to ride hard, to go all out, and to explore not just geography but personal limits. This frontier requires a new kind of gravel machine, one engineered not to roam the trails, but to race them.
For these athletes, we engineered Aspero for pure, unapologetic speed, ready to take down finish lines, KOMs, PRs, and FKTs. A bike built without limits, for the riders looking to test them. It's stiff, Classics-racing stiff, and performs like you'd want a road bike to perform off-road. We think that makes sense, and it's what we were trying to do when we were stuffing bigger tires into our existing frames and swapping in aftermarket forks to get a 40mm tire up front.
The flip-chip in the fork-we call it the Trail Mixer-keeps the trail measurement consistent whether you choose 700c or 650b tires. This maintains the bike's personality and handling characteristics when you switch from mid-fats to full-fat. There are as many different ways to do gravel as there are gravel bikes these days, but if you're toeing the start line, looking to stay with the lead group, and contend for the victory, Aspero is the bike to get you there.

DESCENDED FROM GREATNESS
Take one look at the all-new P-Series, and you’ll notice a striking resemblance to our flagship TT bike, the P5. P-Series benefits from all the racing, wind tunnel time, and testing required to make the P5 the fastest TT bike in the World Tour, but adds a couple features that make it a perfect companion for a triathlon of any distance.
P-Series uses a fork with a D-shaped steerer tube and round stem interface. This means you can use whichever basebar and extensions you prefer, and make changes if your fit or preference changes. It’s also significantly more adaptable if you have very specific fit requirements.
Increased wheel and tire clearance, reduced aerodynamic drag, neater cable routing, and Cervelo’s first internal frame storage all add up to create the bike of choice for those looking to make the most of the time between T1 and T2.
FREE SPEED
The new P-Series frame is 5.9 grams faster than the outgoing one, but the added tire clearance makes room for the Reserve 52/63 wheels, and 29mm Vittoria tires, which combine for a 30 grams or 3.5 watts savings vs the Reserve 50/Vittoria 28 combo.
IN-FRAME STORAGE
New this year on the P-Series, the in-frame storage is designed for a tube, small multi-tool, and a CO2 canister. The hatch is easily removable with or without a bottle in place—just flip the lock and pull.
FUEL FOR THE RUN
In addition to the all-new in-frame storage, we still ship every P-Series with the Smartpak 400, our top tube-mounted bento box, which makes fueling on the bike much simpler without sacrificing aerodynamics.
FIT FOR SPEED
The P-Series is all about adapting to the athlete. Maximum stack increased to 53mm, and we include spacers to bring the basebar up that high. Fitting and positions are evolving, and P-Series offers the most flexibility in an incredibly fast package.

We engineered Áspero for pure, unapologetic speed, ready to take down finish lines, KOMs, PRs, and FKTs. A bike built without limits, for the riders looking to test them. It's stiff-Classics-racing- stiff and performs like you'd want a road bike to perform off-road. We think that makes sense, and it's what we were trying to do when we were stuffing bigger tires into our existing frames and swapping in aftermarket forks to get a 40mm tire up front.
MULTIPLE CONFIGURATIONS
- We designed Aspero with clearance for up to 700c x 40mm tires or 650b x 49mm tires. Of course, there are variables—rim width, tire casing, and tread depth—which will affect final clearance. We always recommend 4mm of clearance between the tire and frame.
TWO-POSITION ADJUSTMENT
- Trail (front-wheel response to rider input) is the most critical factor in high-velocity handling. Flipping the two-position "Trail Mixer" to compensate for the difference in circumference between a 650b and 700c tire maintains consistent handling by maintaining consistent trail figures.
BALANCED HANDLING
- Stiffness and handling work together to ensure the bike tracks predictably and responds immediately to critical pedal and bracing inputs.

Caledonia doesn't fit in a box nicely, and we like it that way. It was conceived on our Thursday night rides-routes that often play fast and loose with 'road ride.' Modern road riders are looking for bikes to handle long-distance, high pace, no limits, and offer maximum fun - the Caledonia delivers performance, comfort, and speed. Oh, and you can fit a 34mm tire in there. Or 31mm with fenders.
- Removable FDM
Our bolt-on front derailleur mount is made from high-strength aluminum alloy and attaches to the frame with two countersunk screws. This allows for easy replacement in the event of damage but also enables you to adapt to new standards as they become available or remove the front derailleur mount completely if you choose a 1x system.
- Integrated Accessory Mounts
Integrated mounts enable the use of fenders, lights, and computers without compromising the aerodynamics or structure of your bike. The built-in mount systems provide a simple and clean-looking solution.

A BIKE FOR THE WAY RIDERS RIDE
Caledonia doesn't fit in a box nicely, and we like it that way. It was conceived on our Thursday night rides-routes that often play fast and loose with 'road ride.' As we tried to stuff bigger tires into our R5s and streamline our Asperos, a new kind of bike was born.
When we design a bike, we start with our library of tube shapes. These shapes are tubes we've used on other models that we know to have various qualities-aerodynamic, stiff, ultralight, etc.-and they help get us to the refinement stage on a bike more quickly. In the case of Caledonia, we wanted durability, lightweight, and aerodynamics to be in balance and selected a package that achieved the performance demands of this kind of race bike.
Caledonia uses a standard round bar, stem, and seat post, giving riders the option to build their ultimate ride without compromise. Integrated accessory mounts and hidden fender mounts keep the bike's refined lines so you can ride with lights and computers in a downpour and still look fast. Because we all know if it looks fast, it probably is.
Rather than designing multiple versions of the bike with various fit profiles (R5, R-Series, etc.) like we've done in the past, we designed a system that enables a broad range of fits on a single bike while maintaining the aesthetic and functional cleanliness we demand. Modern road riders are looking for bikes to handle long-distance, high pace, no limits, and offer maximum fun. By placing lower modulus carbon in key areas to mitigate the brittleness of hi-mod fiber-the Caledonia delivers performance, comfort, and speed. Oh, and you can fit a 34mm tire in there. Or 31mm with fenders.

The Soloist. It's a name from deep in our history, but immediately familiar to anyone with bike racing memories extending back to the early-2000s. It was the weapon of choice for top World Tour contenders on CSC and the Cervelo Test Team, and we're bringing it back for a new generation. The new Soloist is designed for the week-in, week-out rider and racer who can only justify one high-performance bike. It balances lightweight and aerodynamic advantages to deliver a bike that really is 'just right'. Soloist comes in a hair lighter than S5, but significantly more aerodynamic than R5, and borrows the threaded bottom bracket standard you find on the R5-CX. It's a race bike that can accommodate mechanical and electronic shifting, can hammer out the training miles in all weather, and yet still has the chops to leap off the front at that decisive moment. That's the Soloist.
FAST LIKE S5, LIGHT LIKE R5
Soloist sits right between S5 and R5 on the performance scale, while having a price tag that's less World Tour, more Road Trip. It's about 250g heavier than R5, and 250g lighter than S5. It's 190g slower than S5, but 126g faster than R5. You get the idea. It's the 'just-right' answer for the rider trying to find a smart, intentional compromise.
LOOKS LIKE A RACE BIKE, RIDES LIKE A RACE BIKE
We took the handling geometry for the Soloist directly from R5. The R5 is beloved by pros and amateurs alike for its poise, stability, and precision when that killer climb turns into an even more killer descent. Soloist benefits from our decades of race bike geometry development, and comes out of the gate ready to go.
HIDDEN FROM THE WIND, NO BLEED NECESSARY
The cable routing is inside the frame for aerodynamics, but doesn't go through the stem. We developed our own system that threads the cables under the stem, but through the bearing cap. Whether your position changes or you loan the bike to a friend who uses a different stem length, you won't need to bleed the brakes to swap the stem.
CLEARANCE TO BUZZ THE TOWER
The Soloist fits tires up to 34mm (measured), and wheels wide enough to support them.
BBRIGHT-47
The BBRighT-47 bottom bracket, which first appeared on the R5-CX, is ideal for those who log big miles but don't have a pro wrench checking the bike over every day. It makes BB swaps a breeze (convenient if you're burning through hand-me-down components) and extends the life of the frame.

FLAT OUT
Designed for long, fast gravel races, Aspero-5 is for those who toe the start line with purpose, and aim to be in the group straightaway. Our engineers like to say, “if it looks fast, it probably is.” It’s a bit tongue-in-cheek, but there’s some truth to it, and Aspero-5 looks fast standing still. The cables are tucked neatly inside the stem and headtube, there’s a hint of a wheel cutout, and all of the tube shapes come from our race-proven library of shapes.
LIGHTWEIGHT SPEED
Some might say aero doesn’t matter on a gravel bike, but if you’ve battled a headwind across an open prairie, the thirty-two grams of drag you’ll save with the Áspero-5 come as a welcome respite. Most gravel racing is done without the benefit of a World Tour peloton—or World Tour tactics—and when it’s your nose in the wind all day, it’s nice to know your bike’s shouldering a bit of the load.
TWO-POSITION ADJUSTMENT
Trail—front-wheel response to rider input—is the most critical factor in high-velocity handling. Flipping the two-position "Trail Mixer" to compensate for the difference in circumference between a 650b and 700c tire maintains consistent handling by maintaining consistent trail figures.
MULTIPLE CONFIGURATIONS
We designed Aspero with clearance for up to 700c x 40mm tires or 650b x 49mm tires. Of course, there are variables—rim width, tire casing, and tread depth—which will affect final clearance. We (and the International Organization for Standardization, or ISO), always recommend 4mm of clearance between the tire and frame.
**New Shimano road (not gravel) 12 speed front derailleurs reduce tire clearance in the rear of the frame to 700 x 38c or 650b x 45c.
SRAM INTEGRATED POWER
Red and Force builds include Quarq Zero powermeters integrated into the crank. The integration of a powermeter results in better stiffness, lighter weight, and improved accuracy over aftermarket solutions—and the DZero delivers power measurement accurate to +/- 1.5%, even in variable temperatures.

FAST LIKE S5, LIGHT LIKE R5
Soloist sits right between S5 and R5 on the performance scale, while having a price tag that’s less World Tour, more Road Trip. It’s about 250g heavier than R5, and 250g lighter than S5. It’s 190g slower than S5, but 126g faster than R5. You get the idea. It’s the ‘just-right’ answer for the rider trying to find a smart, intentional compromise.

The P-Series is for the athlete seeking speed, storage, value, and comfort. It's our no-nonsense machine engineered to get you from A to B as fast as possible. It's a no-excuses machine and your perfect PR sidekick. It's lighter and more aero than its predecessor, the P3, making it faster on all courses. Naturally, aerodynamics and weight are only part of the equation, the P-series comes with a 500mL aero bottle, 400mL of top tube storage, and an integrated rear hydration mount. Customize the cockpit and the storage to your needs and your race.
- Less Drag, More Speed
Aerodynamics are critical to engineering a fast bike: aero drag accounts for as much as 90% of the overall resistance affecting a rider. The P-Series frame design and customized tube shapes improve its aerodynamics while enhancing its stiffness, weight, and usability - all in a UCI-legal package.
- Modular Storage
Modular Storage incorporates custom Cervélo parts and approved aftermarket accessories to allow full customization of your storage needs. It enables a secure and aerodynamic solution tailored specifically to your needs.
BIKE SIZE AND SETUP CALCULATOR ON THE CERVELO WEBSITE
We have simplified the process of sizing and setup. Our tool takes your x/y fit coordinates and provides you with a list of compatible frame sizes along with the corresponding riser and pad adjustment. This gives you the information you need to choose your optimal frame size.
Simply enter your arm pad stack and reach measured from the BB to the back of the pad, along with saddle height to discover your options.

R5 has one job—get to the top, fast. But for all the glory and fanfare that comes with a summit finish, they’re rarely the only climb of the day. And while a race isn’t usually won on a descent, they can certainly be lost. A climbing bike that can't carve a hairpin is a bit like a cup of decaf coffee. This is the fourth iteration of the R5, and while weight and stiffness have varied over the years, the handling, poise, and unmatched prowess on a descent have been consistent since day one.
Faster In Every Direction
- The new R5 frame is 130g lighter than the previous model—a 16% reduction from an already-light frame. And while aerodynamics weren’t a focus with this frame the way they would be on an S5 or P5, bringing the cables inside reduced drag by 25g.
Less Stiff, Still Fast
- The R5 is stiff, but not too stiff—the Goldilocks of climbing bikes if you will. Poise, stability, and power transfer that feels “just right” and keeps you fresh and ready to take on the road ahead.
$5,500.00
We engineered Áspero for pure, unapologetic speed, ready to take down finish lines, KOMs, PRs, and FKTs. A bike built without limits, for the riders looking to test them. It's stiff-Classics-racing stiff and performs like you'd want a road bike to perform off-road. We think that makes sense, and it's what we were trying to do when we were stuffing bigger tires into our existing frames and swapping in aftermarket forks to get a 40mm tire up front.
- Multiple Configurations
We designed Aspero with clearance for up to 700c x 40mm tires or 650b x 49mm tires. Of course, there are variables—rim width, tire casing, and tread depth—which will affect final clearance. We always recommend 4mm of clearance between the tire and frame.
**New Shimano road (not gravel) 12-speed front derailleurs reduce tire clearance in the rear of the frame to 700 x 38c or 650b x 45c.
- Two Position Adjustment
Trail—front-wheel response to rider input—is the most critical factor in high-velocity handling. Flipping the two-position "Trail Mixer" to compensate for the difference in circumference between a 650b and 700c tire maintains consistent handling by maintaining consistent trail figures.
- Balanced Handling
Stiffness and handling work together to ensure the bike tracks predictably and responds immediately to critical pedal and bracing inputs.

Increased wheel and tire clearance, reduced aerodynamic drag, neater cable routing, and Cervelo’s first internal frame storage all add up to create the bike of choice for those looking to make the most of the time between T1 and T2

Our engineers like to joke that, "if it looks fast, it probably is." But there's some truth to that, and Aspero-5 looks fast standing still. No cables in the wind, tube shapes from our aerodynamically-proven library, and a hint of a cut out in the seat tube, all add up to a bike that proves the adage.

THE EVERYDAY BREAKAWAY BIKE
The Soloist. It’s a name from deep in our history, but immediately familiar to anyone with bike racing memories extending back to the early-2000s. It was the weapon of choice for top World Tour contenders on CSC and the Cervelo Test Team, and we’re bringing it back for a new generation. The new Soloist is designed for the week-in, week-out rider and racer who can only justify one high-performance bike. It balances light weight and aerodynamic advantages to deliver a bike that really is 'just right'. Soloist comes in a hair lighter than S5, but significantly more aerodynamic than R5, and borrows the threaded bottom bracket standard you find on the R5-CX. It’s a race bike that can accommodate mechanical and electronic shifting, can hammer out the training miles in all weather, and yet still has the chops to leap off the front at that decisive moment. That’s the Soloist.

The Caledonia-5 is the bike we keep reaching for when we know the odometer's going well past the triple-digit mark. Long rides invariably have some smooth tarmac, some junk pavement over backroads, a cutty singletrack connector, and maybe even your own local Strade Bianche sector. So we built a bike that could take on all of them, do it well, and fit fenders in case the ominous clouds turn into a downpour 130km into your day.
- Aero Cable Management
The Cervélo frame, fork, handlebars, and associated components are designed to hide brake and shift control lines (mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic) from the wind for improved aerodynamics, without sacrificing usability or performance.
- Performance Fit
The Caledonia-5's integrated stem and two bearing cap options allow for stacks ranging between an aggressive 7mm and a relaxed 22mm without the use of spacers. With a wider fit coordinate range (stack) of 580mm to 687mm, the Caledonia can be slammed or more upright. All while looking and being seamlessly fast in the wind.
- SRAM Integrated Power
Red and Force build include Quarq Zero power meters integrated into the crank. The integration of a power meter results in better stiffness, lighter weight, and improved accuracy over aftermarket solutions—and the DZero delivers power measurement accurate to +/- 1.5%, even in variable temperatures.
$8,999.00 - $9,000.00
The S5 prioritizes aerodynamic performance and stiffness, making it a platform preferred by the fastest sprinters in the world. You've no doubt noticed the now-iconic V-Stem. We optimized that shape to deliver the best possible performance in the wind, hid the cables inside, and made enough bar/stem/stack options to fit just about anyone. It'll clear 28mm tires, too so you can eke out even more aero advantage.
$8,999.99 - $9,000.00
The S5 has one job - get to the line before everyone else. Under the likes of Wout van Aert, Marianne Vos, and Christophe LaPorte, the new model has already proven itself as a tool without equality. In the 2022 Tour de France, this bike propelled Wout to the highest ever Points Classification score of the modern era. At 480, Wout was some 194 points ahead of his nearest rival-tangible proof that Cervelo keeps delivering aerodynamic gains to our World Tour athletes.
The new S5 has reduced drag by 65 grams and increased the frame's surface area while still reducing overall weight. The deeper frame sections maximize the shapes allowed by the UCI. Meanwhile, the iconic V-stem has been further refined, and a new fork designed to simplify the entire front end.
What's more, a ground-breaking new wheel design concept has been co-developed with Reserve to increase stability and reduce drag in turbulent aero conditions.
- V Is For Velocity
In pursuit of speed, everyone wants to try different positions to find their most aggressive fit. The S5's iconic V-stem not only inspires confident handling at high speeds, but it's now also remarkably simple to dial in your perfect set-up. All the necessary spacers come with the bike, and there’s now only one bolt length, reducing complexity and making the system 53g lighter in the process.
- Frame Enhancements
The UCI’s new regulations on aerodynamic design allowed us some additional room to deepen our aero profiles and squeeze 65 more grams of drag performance out of what is already the fastest aero bike on the market. You’ll notice a deeper head tube and BB area, and more aggressive shaping on the trailing edges of the tubes. Since the new S5 is only compatible with electronic shifting, we were able to tidy the dropout a bit and update the shaping all over the bike.
- Tire Clearance
Wider wheels and tires are faster aerodynamically, and more comfortable to boot. S5 comes specced with 28mm tires but has clearance for up to a 34mm (measured) tire. The frame is optimized to complement the wider Reserve 52/63 turbulent aero wheels. In addition to the handling benefits, this saves over 5 watts compared to the previous Reserve wheelset.
- Handlebar Refinement
We’ve improved the comfort of the handlebar and tweaked the shape to get a perfectly flat bar-to-hood transition. We now use a two-bolt interface that allows for infinite tilt adjustments between 0 and 5 degrees.
- Keeping It Simple
Bike fitters at every level are moving away from longer-offset seat posts, and the new S5 comes stock with a 15mm offset post on most sizes (vs 25mm offset on outgoing S5). The old seat posts are forward-compatible, and we’ll keep the 400 mm-long, 25mm offset post in stock for those looking for a more extreme fit.
- SRAM Integrated Power
Red and Force builds include Quarq Zero power meters integrated into the crank. The integration of a power meter results in better stiffness, lighter weight, and improved accuracy over aftermarket solutions—and the DZero delivers power measurement accurate to +/- 1.5%, even in variable temperatures.
- Sorry Campy Fans
The 2022 S5 Disc frameset is designed to accommodate electronic shifting groupsets that use connectors up to 6mm in diameter, therefore Campagnolo EPS is not compatible with this frameset. Mechanical shifting groupsets are also not compatible with this frameset.

FLAT OUT
That's how Aspero debuted under the characters of the Wednesday Night Rough Club two years ago, and that's how it's stayed. And since, at Cervelo, we know that flat out doesn't stay flat out for long without a little help from science, we've come back from the drawing board with a new Aspero. A faster Aspero, a lighter Aspero, and-dare we say it-an even better looking Aspero.
Our engineers like to say, if it looks fast, it probably is, but there's some truth to it, and Aspero-5 looks fast standing still. No cables in the wind, tubes derived from our library of aerodynamically proven shapes, and just a hint of a cut out in the seat tube to squeak out just a bit more tire clearance, add up to a bike that proves the adage.

Our engineers like to joke that, "if it looks fast, it probably is." But there's some truth to that, and Áspero-5 looks fast standing still. No cables in the wind, tube shapes from our aerodynamically-proven library, and a hint of a cut-out in the seat tube, all add up to a bike that proves the adage.
- Lightweight Speed
Some might say aero doesn’t matter on a gravel bike, but if you’ve battled a headwind across an open prairie, the thirty-two grams of drag you’ll save with the Áspero-5 come as a welcome respite. Most gravel racing is done without the benefit of a World Tour peloton—or World Tour tactics—and when it’s your nose in the wind all day, it’s nice to know your bike’s shouldering a bit of the load.
- Multiple Configurations
We designed Aspero with clearance for up to 700c x 40mm tires or 650b x 49mm tires. Of course, there are variables—rim width, tire casing, and tread depth—which will affect final clearance. We (and the International Organization for Standardization, or ISO), always recommend 4mm of clearance between the tire and frame.
**New Shimano road (not gravel) 12-speed front derailleurs reduce tire clearance in the rear of the frame to 700 x 38c or 650b x 45c.

For the P5 we focused entirely on aero performance within the boxes defined by the UCI, anyway. We applied years of experience in engineering the fastest aero bikes and real-world testing with our pro athletes. The result is a bike that pushes the boundaries in every way possible. We spent hours in CFD, FEA, and ISO testing and the reviews came back from our athletes: BRB.
- Less Drag, More Speed
Aerodynamics are critical to engineering a fast bike: aero drag accounts for as much as 90% of the overall resistance affecting a rider. The P5’s frame design and customized tube shapes improve its aerodynamics while enhancing its stiffness, weight, and usability - all in a UCI-legal package.
- Speed Riser
The Speed Riser is our user-friendly aerobar system for triathlon bikes. The aerodynamic single riser post is easily adjustable to an infinite range of positions with a single tool. This means that you can fully customize your fit, as well as make on-the-fly adjustments to your position.
- Modular Storage
Modular Storage incorporates custom Cervélo parts and approved aftermarket accessories to allow full customization of your storage needs. It enables a secure and aerodynamic solution tailored specifically to your needs.
BIKE SIZE AND SETUP CALCULATOR AVAILABLE ON THE CERVELO WEBSITE
We have simplified the process of sizing and setup. Our tool takes your x/y fit coordinates and provides you with a list of compatible frame sizes along with the corresponding riser and pad adjustment. This gives you the information you need to choose your optimal frame size.
Simply enter your arm pad stack and reach measured from the BB to the back of the pad, along with saddle height to discover your options.

R5 has one job - get to the top, fast. But for all the glory and fanfare that comes with a summit finish, they're rarely the only climb of the day. And while a race isn't usually won on a descent, they can certainly be lost. A climbing bike that can't carve a hairpin is a bit like a cup of decaf coffee. This is the fourth iteration of the R5, and while weight and stiffness have varied over the years, the handling, poise, and unmatched prowess on a descent have been consistent since day one.
- Faster in Every Direction
The new R5 frame is 130g lighter than the previous model—a 16% reduction from an already-light frame. And while aerodynamics weren't a focus with this frame the way they would be on an S5 or P5, bringing the cables inside reduced drag by 25g.
- Darker Than Night, Lighter Than Air
The color black may absorb all light, but Cervélo Five Black is anything but heavy. This ultra-minimal graphics and paint package results in a frame that's significantly lighter—they'll never even see you coming.
- Less Stiff, Still Fast
The R5 is stiff, but not too stiff—the Goldilocks of climbing bikes if you will. Poise, stability, and power transfer feel “just right" and keep you fresh and ready to take on the road ahead.

FAST GETS FASTER
P5 is a contre la montre catalyst. It’s made for one thing—helping you go as fast as possible between Point A and Point B.
As at home on the Big Island as it is in a race-critical time trial at the Tour de France, the P5 enables exceptional performances. The past decade of elite road racing has shown the importance of being able to deliver a strong time trial late in a Grand Tour, and the P5 was a key part of Team Jumbo-Visma’s Giro d’Italia and Tour de France wins in 2023.
On the new bike, we focused on creating a fast platform that could be made faster with the latest wheels and cutting-edge fit adaptations. There’s room for a 34mm tire on wide wheels, which improve aerodynamics and reduce rolling resistance. The basebar is lower to reduce CdA but possible stack has increased, and the extensions can now be adjusted between 0 and 30 degrees in five-millimeter increments. For triathletes, we include a variety of storage options, because half the battle is taking in sufficient calories to deliver a strong marathon. Also new on this bike? A size 61 to help all of our tall friends achieve a better fit.
SIMPLICITY & ADJUSTABILITY
The new one-piece front end (first pioneered on the S5) is simpler to assemble and adjust, and stack is now adjustable up to 40mm, while the basebar height drops by 10mm to minimize frontal area. The new riser increases tilt adjustability, 0 to 30 degrees, in 5-degree increments.
SPEED
The new P5 frame is about a watt faster aerodynamically than the previous model, and has clearance for 34mm tires. That clearance means plenty of room for Reserve’s new 77/88 wheelset, and Vittoria’s 29mm tire which saves about 4 watts over the previous Reserve/Vittoria pair for a total system savings of about 5 watts.
COMFORT & CONTROL
The new armrests and pads on the P5 are wider, taller, and thicker than before. It’s definitely more comfortable, but it’s also more confidence-inspiring. More surface area here leads to better control, which means more time in the most aerodynamic position possible.
COMPLIANCE
The new fastback seat stay design reduces vertical stiffness by about 22% (while maintaining the lateral stiffness needed for power transfer). The TT position is unforgiving (to say the least), but the new P5 will help you roll into T2 a lot fresher.
SRAM INTEGRATED POWER
Red and Force builds include Quarq Zero power meters integrated into the crank. The integration of a power meter results in better stiffness, lighter weight, and improved accuracy over aftermarket solutions—and the DZero delivers power measurement accurate to +/- 1.5%, even in variable temperatures.
